Location: Remote during the academic year; New York City after graduation
Undergraduate traders at Quantitative Strategies Group are junior traders who begin building their trading business earlier than most, while still completing their degree. This is not an internship, training course, or temporary program. Undergraduate traders follow the same evaluation criteria and capital allocation framework as other junior traders at the firm.
Undergraduate traders typically work remotely during the academic year and engage in research, strategy development, and implementation using the same infrastructure, internal education, and risk framework used across QSG. In certain cases, undergraduates who are based in the New York City area may work from the office more regularly, which allows for closer day-to-day supervision but does not change evaluation standards or capital progression.
Access to capital and responsibility is earned at the same pace as junior traders, based on demonstrated performance, discipline, and risk management.
This role is intended for undergraduates who want a meaningful head start, are comfortable with real accountability, and view trading as a long-term pursuit. Undergraduate traders who remain a strong fit are expected to continue trading from New York City after graduation, with a primary professional focus on QSG. This role is designed for individuals seeking a long-term partnership, not short-term experience. There are no guaranteed outcomes or timelines.
